In the market for an upgrade to my existing camera recently, the Nikon D7000 video quality and features kept showing up on favorites lists and photography review sites. My old camera simply was not capturing the video that I wanted, and one of the features that piqued my interest was the Nikon D7000 video capabilities. Living in the beautiful mountains of Southwest Virginia, surrounded by grand Appalachian vistas, rushing rivers and abundant wildlife, I was capturing plenty of photographs but poor quality video of my many travels throughout the region.
The Nikon D7000 is an expensive option for a new camera when compared to what I had paid for in the past, but the asking retail price is always a bit steeper than the Nikon D7000 sale price available from online sellers. The new D7000 model features an attractively designed weather-proof alloy construction, perfect for taking pictures and videos out of doors. Featuring a three inch VGA LCD panel, the Nikon D7000 video playback looks clear, sharp and precise, and with amazing software designed to determine distances my pictures and video could not possibly look any better.
Stunning 1080p movies in high definition and audio options up to studio quality standards combined with all the other camera features makes for a camera that is only the second Nikon available for personal use to provide so many options and great features. Billed as Nikon’s best DSLR ever, the Nikon D7000 fetches a high asking price, but more than makes up for the expense by offering so many useful features that it may very well be the last camera anyone ever buys. Owners report that many subtle effects combine to make photographs and videos with the Nikon D7000 to simply look better, clearer, more colorful and more alive than any other camera can produce. The great external audio options allow for high quality audio to be captured along with live video, audio clear and balanced and with great options for mixing and mastering from the desktop. Dual card slots rounds out the features. Using and recording to both card slots at once can eliminate the need for backing up data, and it can make sharing photographs, video and audio with hardware using varying operating systems.
Shooting with the Nikon D7000 is comfortable and convenient, and it was never uncomfortable to carry about for the day. The Nikon D7000 videos I shot of the mountains and woods, and a surprised group of deer feeding below the hedgerow were brilliant and well-balanced, and the excellent viewfinder kept the focus even when I could not. Looking for a new camera, the Nikon D7000 sale price was more than reasonable in light of all the excellent features and the outstanding video and audio quality.
